Our range of lighting design services covers a broad spectrum of expertise and services.

Daylight

Today, daylight planning in architecture is usually focussed on for energy and building technology reasons. However, daylight planning is much more than just measuring the amount of daylight in rooms and calculating daylight ratios. Targeted planning creates atmosphere, sustainable well-being and guarantees the economic operation of the building.

Even in historical buildings, daylight is used not only as a functional aspect but also as a design element. Modern architecture is rediscovering daylight and producing master architects of space and light.

We offer you the necessary support for your project. Optimised daylighting as a design tool and the energetic balance in interaction with window areas, shading and the room climate

Artificial light

Lucet plans artificial lighting from the first draft of the building project through to the commissioning and maintenance of the lighting system.

We develop solutions in close cooperation with architects with regard to design and structural integration and ensure the technical interfaces with the specialist engineers, guaranteeing sustainable implementation.

Lighting design is at the heart of the choice of suitable means. As a neutral planner, we define lamps, luminaire light distribution and other technical and formal requirements for the product. The products are procured directly by the client, usually via a call for tenders.

As a rule, products from several luminaire manufacturers meet the defined requirements, which guarantees market-driven prices for our customers.

Product design

The majority of our lighting solutions are implemented with suitable catalogue products. Each project has its own individual character and we work with manufacturers to develop solutions.
Overall, the close connection between light and architecture results in products that are technologically advanced, aesthetically pleasing and at the same time functional and sustainable. The lighting designer has developed a deep understanding of the effect of light in architectural spaces in order to create products that fulfil the complex requirements of modern architectural lighting

Expertise and certificates

Expertise in lighting design encompasses a wide range of skills and services. Lucet combines technical knowledge with aesthetic understanding to optimise the design of rooms. We take both daylight and artificial light and their interplay into account and evaluate them.

– Measurement and evaluation of illuminance [lux] and luminance [cd/sqm]
– Measurement and evaluation of glare (UGR, DGI, GR)
– Measurement of light spectra, colour rendering (CRI, Ra, Re, TM-30, TLCI)
– Daylight certification in accordance with SN EN 17037, Minergie-ECO, SIA387/4, SNBS, LEED, DGNB

Tools

We work with various high-performance tools to meet modern requirements in planning teams.

Project processing in Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a matter of course for us.

The IT tools optimise the workflow and enable efficient, standard-compliant lighting design in collaboration with architects and other specialist planners.

As architects of light, we aim to integrate the lighting fixtures into the building structure. Accompanying the realisation is important to us. This guarantees a smooth realisation of the lighting idea, right through to setting the illuminance levels and lighting scenes.
